Question about 4A-GE 20V transmissions

I've been trying to figure out for the longest time what Toyota transmissions came on the automatic versions of the 4A-GE 20V Silvertop and Blacktop.

Is it the same A245E found on the 7A-FE Corolla? Or is it an entirely different unit altogether?

Any more information or specs you can add would be helpful as well.

The 4AGZE in the US 1st-gen MR2 automatic used the A241E--same ratios, but with a factory LSD and 16 positions on the kickdown instead of 40. Don't know if that helps at all.

I believe it was the A246E, but exactly what was different internally, I'm not sure. The gearing was different: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_...smission#A246E, this lists the gearing but not all the applications.

I know for certain my 7AFE corolla came equipped with the A245E automatic ECT. I've been black top shopping for the last coupl of month and came across a few equipped with auto trannys and the vin tag reads A246E. I don't know exactly whats different about the two though.
