the whole thing about the can't see the sign thing is me just saying I think you can't blame me too much for missing it. I know the rules, duh... so I didn't take that to court. Also when I redrove it I almost missed it for the second time. I believe that officer knows that the sign is hard to see and that's why he sits there as a trap.
Now the first ticket. 4 way lighted intersection, I need to make a left, green light but no green arrow, so i pull out a little bit in the intersection then the light turns yellow, I'm about to turn and there's one car from the oncoming traffic that wants to turn right onto the road I want to go on but is playing it safe, so i wait and let him go, the light turned red all the lights are red and the cars have stopped... I'm in the middle of the intersection, so now is my time to go. Cop pulls me over and says i ran a redlight. I said I think it was green and then i waited and it turned red and then i went. and then he says no it was red and i know because there was a whole bunch of cars that had to stop because of you. LIE#1 That wasn't true... the only car there was was that one car that I was waiting for that was trying to turn right and that was a gold mercury cougar ... the other cars from that side of traffic was like a white chevy truck and some lincoln town car looking thing and they were maybe 5 blocks down ...way far away. If anyone else was waiting on me then that means they are the ones that ran a red light cuz it was all no reds. Then the officer says, you went on a green then the light turned red? what did you get stuck out in the middle of the intersection or something?.... LIE#2 that right there tells me that he didn't even see it... it wasn't that hard i went then waited for a car to turn right and then went as the light turned red. anyways i told the officer, i didn't exactly get stuck, (cuz that little wait i did was just a second) I just waited for the other car and then the light turned red and then went. THen he goes oh ok, well you can't do that... i said what?... he says you can't pull out into the intersection and wait to go, you have to wait at the line and then go. Then I said that's funny cuz that's exactly what they told me to do in drivers ed. and then he goes I know i know and everyone does it but it's highly illegal, he told me to go check my drivers manual and he said he highly recommends me to go back to my school and complain to them about teaching me like that... then he told me a story on why he doesnt like people doing that (a wreck invovling a lady and baby)... so i was like hmm ok i didnt know that ...so then he writes me a ticket for running a red light.... and he says he'll forget the pulling out in the intersection ticket. So i go home and look online as well as my gf's little brothers driving manual, he's in drivers ed right now, and NOPE officer is wrong. That's perfectly legal and as far as making a left when the light has turned red... that is "highly recommended"... he didn't write me a ticket for pulling out so that's just an issue that's over but he did write me a ticket for the red light so i took that to court and lost... no witnesses so it's his word over mine. SO yea the whole bit about pulling out and going to my school to tell them that they're wrong LIE #3. What I think happened was is that he was a few cars behind and didn't see the whole thing and didn't even see my car until the light turned red so he thinks i just bolted off. and then when he came to my car he knew that I knew that he didn't see the whole thing cuz of what he said.. and as far as the whole thing about it being illegal to pull out on a green left, I think he must have just had a complete brain freeze and forgot the rules or he was just trying to control the situation and accidentally made something up that was preposterous...
