Transmission Fluid Flush

Why do all the places (Toyota dealer, Firestone, NTB) tell me that 30K is when I should do a tranny flush, when the manual does not say this? It doesn't say it for 30K nor for 40K...when is a good time to do my first tranny flush?

My 04 Sienna just hit 30K and my 06 Corolla S just hit 40K over the weekend.

Haven't done anything to either, other than change the tires and the oil thus far (and lifetime alignment on both cars since day one every 5K miles).

Probably just trying to make more money off you, if you're concerned about it just do a change with or without a pan drop, doubt a flush is needed unless you're having problems with it.
