I got my 03 Corolla S with 55K miles for $10,990. I don't know if this helps, but it fits the description of what you were looking for.

got my 92 for $600. It needed 2 axles, 2 rotors, front brakes, and 1 ball joint. So for about $850 after the cost of parts I have a pretty decent corolla with 128k on the ticker. I'll sell it to ya for $2000

You can check the Black Book value (Canada) or the Kelly blue book value to get an idea of the price ranges for the vehicle you are intrested in. I have used the Canadian Black Book for buying and selling and it was helpful.

These should at least give you an idea of what kind of vehicle you are buying based on the price range.

The defining feature on the value of these corollas would be the mileage. Not so much the age. I really don't think you'll find any corolla in your price range that's under 100k, unless you find one that requires significant repairs.

For reference, I recently got my 2001 Corolla with 72k miles on it, and I got insanely lucky. The car cost me $4000. Others like it were running $5000-6000.

Good luck with the search, though.
