I have a lead on a AE111 4A-GE (20 Valve) motor and tranny.

I am looking for a new car and thought this has some good potential. I am wondering what generations of 4 door corollas this would drop into?

The general swap motor thread says its pretty much a drop in but i just wanted to verify.

Though it is a mortal sin, I am also looking at prizms for this and I dont think that changes anything but just wanted to put that out there.

From my understanding, it will drop right into any FWD Corolla or Geo Prizm, except for having to swap the right side tranny mount on some. In other words, you need to keep the tranny mount that was with the original tranny.

The Prizim is just a re-badged Corolla.

What generation car are you considering?
You might want to ask in that forum, what all is involved with the swap.
