As you know, 9th gen Corolla Odometer will stop running at 299999km and won't move anymore.

How did you fix it to run past 299.999 km? did u re-program something?

thanks,
Chris

not happy with suspension from 8th generation. Feel more bumpy.
in terms of maintenance, it is excellent, but compared to driving pleasure,
not comparable to civic, that's my feelings are.

150k miles, no problems

My wife and I just got back from trading in our 1999 Corolla. 150,000 miles; original exhaust, original clutch, no suspension work. We replaced the starter, one new battery, and some nominal brake work; it's hard to imagine a more reliable car.

Thanks, Toyota!

Unfortunately, mine played second fiddle to my 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier which I owned for only a year. before scoffing at only one year of ownership, consider this:

- We drove around for two weeks with the radiator cap loose after a fluid check, and it didn't over heat.
- We drove around with no loss of brake pressure with no brake fluid in the car.
- It started after three days of sitting, unplugged in -52 C weather, in one go, no problems.
- It carried more than my old boss' truck without damaging anything.
- We owned it for two weeks when it had a bad radiator, and again it drove around with no problems (doesn't count as a mechanical fault if the radiator rusted out due to a bad semi-permanent parking job)

I call it the zombie car. It still runs to this day, and never complain about any problem, major or minor. LN2s are immortal. Ask any cavalier or S truck owner.

I'd have to say this is the most reliable car that this house has seen. The only time I was stranded with it was when the car battery exploded, but that was in a friends drive way so I just had to wait for my dad to bring me a battery I had in another car at home. Sure I have had to do repairs here and there, but at 20 years old things like the alternator and such going don't really bother me. Mostly I find myself replacing tires, chassis parts, and brakes but that all comes down to how I drive and not really how Toyota designed the car. All in all it puts the 1990 turbo diesel Jetta my dad owned to shame .
