I'm new around here but I thought the Lounge is "A place where Corolla owners can discuss non-automotive subjects" but it seems these threads are all car related. Does anyone like to talk about anything else? Current events? Hobbies? Personal life? Sports? Anything would be ok, really....

+1. Off topic is the preferred forum of choice for talking about random things such as the weather, sports, life etc. There's nothing wrong with talking about those sorts of things in this forum, but you may not get very many replies. Most of the lounge sub-forums, like this one, are used to discuss things that relate to more than one model of a specific vehicle. For example, someone might make a thread asking which colour people prefer throughout the entire Corolla range. There's plenty of very active threads in the off topic forum, so I'm sure you'll find a bunch of things to post about
