the electrical system can handle it, but the bulbs burn out fast!!! I dropped my first set at 6 months.

No Wiring is involved to disable them, simply cut the red wire with the white stripe in pin 12 on the connector to the DRL control box located directly up from the brake pedal, it;s the wire on the bottom right looking at it from the wire side it's next to the TWO larger wires. A little electrical tape and all is well
