A dirt biking magazine has a motto, "Loud exhaust = closed trails". Fortunately, with the TRD Exhaust outlet right behind the rear tire, it's not a good design for off-road anyway. We are fighting to keep the off-road areas open, and having a loud exhaust is not the type of attention we want from those who would like to ban all off-road activity. Some people do go into the back country for serenity. We all need to be responsible if we want to keep trails and off-road areas open.

By the way, it doesn't sound very good anyway. The Toyota V6 is no BMW I6 engine, and sounds more like a UPS delivery truck with the TRD exhaust.

There probably is no performane or mileage gain either, since the stock muffer volume is HUGE, which greatly reduces backpressure.
