Um, Tacomas get better gas mileage than Rangers, Colorados, and Frontiers....
And the 2006 Tundra gets better gas mileage than F150s and Titans, and is only slightly lower than Silverados. (Silverados get 1mpg more on the highway)

2006 Ford Expedition (5.4L 2WD) 14/19 (beats the Sequoia in highway mileage [15/18])
2006 Ford F-150...same mileage out of the 5.4L
Ford's Expedition/F-150 5.4L make 300 hp / 365 lb ft of torque. Toyota's 4.7L makes 271 hp / 313 lb ft. of torque...while getting only
1 MPG better city. I don't think calling Toyota's truck / SUV lineup "thirsty" is too far off-base. Ford and GM both beat them in V8 engine efficiency, and don't forget that the F-150 weighs more than the Tundra, yet still pretty much matches the mileage.
