When entering the higher speed street, the car has been running for about 4 minutes and the temp gauge has started to move. Never had the RPM spike and I have watched the TACH and counted shifts!
BUT, I live in CANADA where we have real winters and I guess I will have to wait until the temperatures get colder to see if I have the spike.
The tranny runs great and only a few rattles and the trunk lid needs to be adjusted which are minor.
Have a great day;

You very well may not be getting into 4th in your neighborhood. I have to speed to do it. Outside temp doesn't really matter, the engine temp gauge has typically been less than a quarter of the way from bottom. Hopefully you will continue having a spike free tranny. I was hoping that the problem would go away but it just didn't and actually appeared to get worse. Car is still at dealer, may be ready today. Will report back on fix.
