When I found it very helpful? Passing a 40 footer in heavy down pour or when another car would splash you, the wipers automatically go into full speed mode. Normally you would be reaching for the wipers.....

Interesting.
I was with my daughter when she bought her Lexus and the finance/add-ons guy was talking about some warranty on the windshield for replacement if cracked and that's when he mentioned about the cost of a Lexus windshield replacement.
Maybe the Lexus has it built into the windshield.
Funny thing was she bought a AWD IS 250 which doesn't come with the rain sensor option.
