85 Corolla
Hey guys, I recently acquired a one owner, 1985 Corolla 4dr/Hatchback with auto tranny, spotless interior, body in excellent condition, 125,311 miles; was running, but now has a bad knock in the 4AC engine. Which engines can be swapped in easily without a lot of modification? Do these engines have problems with rods? I have a friend who has a good engine he will give me, but I haven't seen it, and he isn't sure what it is. He says it came out of a Corolla similar to mine. I'd like a little info before I head over there. I searched here, but didn't have any luck. This is a very nice car, I'd love to get her back on the road.
