I had a friend visit the TMMC plant in Cambridge. He liked the way Toyota does build its cars and he has owns domestics. However he couldn't help but notice that the workers didn't seem entirely happy. Perhaps he went on a day where most of the workers were tired although I do hear about these once in a while.

I read an article I think it was either the globe or the star where even the higher ups were stressed or tired although proud of their work. IIRC the article said because TMMC builds Lexus that they also were trained to build like their counterparts in Japan. That said TMMC probably is a very good place for the workaholic. I haven't heard any of this sort of stuff from the domestic plants here nor the Honda plant at Alliston, although in the case of the domestic plants with plant closures I'd be surprised to hear this sort of thing from them.
