I believe Aisin and Denso were both started as divisions of Toyota. They were eventually spun off with Toyota still holding a large share of the companies but manufacturing parts form many other auto manufacutrers. THink Delphi, VIsteon, and others. The americans did the same thing. I know I found that info somewhere on one of the Mnay Toyota sites. IF you go to this website
http://www.toyota.co.jp/en/history/index.html you can see some of the history and both Aisin and Nippondenso are listed as companies founded and when. It also lists what the present name of the company is. Think about it. Everyone uses Aisin and Denso parts. SO Toyota is in some way making money off of every manufacturer that in turn uses those parts. I had heard they owned somewhere around 50 percent of both companies. Dont quote me on that though.
Oh and as for not listing all of the models I would like to see anyone on here be able to list every Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Hino, and Diahatsu maodel. I would be willing to bet it is almost impossible.
