Keep your vehicle well-tuned up. Tires inflated, filters changed,
inspections, etc. You lose a little with a 4x4 and automatic
transmission, but you can gain better gas mileage with improved
driving habits. For example if you take a lot of short trips, doing
them close together helps (a warmed up engine performs better).
Driving without the A/C on helps too.
