Transition from gas to electric at speed only occurs below 42 mph, and you can't really feel that. If you are at speed at all then the startup of the ICE is usually not noticeable. I don't even think about it anymore.
You notice the shifts in a standard transmission more than the transitions in the TCH for the most part.
There are no lunges.
