We're not promoting gay marriage. If you want to marry someone of the
opposite sex, feel free. I did that myself, it was certainly the right
decision for me.
We are for equal rights. Are you married? Did you marry for sex or for
other reasons? Marrying for sex is stupid, there are cheaper and easier
ways to get laid. Gays can have sex. What the want is the legal
distinction of being able to pick a partner that they trust and have that
partner able to look out for their interests and to have that partner's
judgement, confidences, etc, supported by the law. Just like a spouse.
They want spouses.
Condoms aren't being "handed out to grade-school kids," but they are
avilable in some schools to help kids who are in a jam. Would you prefer to
support more welfare cases?
These are being given to kids that are disconnected with their parents (and
here in the well-heeled suburbs, there are still a lot of those kdis) but
who still retain an ounce of sense. I'm all for supporting them by staving
off pregnancy and disease.
