Just got a 2000 Tacoma,...

Before this I drove a Porsche 944S so I am still trying to get use to this damn thing. Anyways,... I got it used with 35,000 miles on it. It's a 2.7L 4Cyl. 4x4 with manual transmission. Ok, now when braking the front ends vibrates and at some point it could pass for a shaking. It doesnt feel like it's shaking back and fourth, more like up and down?!?! Not sure, hard to tell. Also, I am just noticing a vibration in the sterring wheel, it doesn't do it all the time so it's hard to tell if there is a problem or if it's just the road. Are these normal problems associated with this truck? I saw a couple of brake threads so I am assuming the brake are kinda qwerky with this truck? I am thinking the rotors are warped? But, like I said it only has 36,000 miles on it as we speak. The tires are new but I they would have set in by now. All my tires are up to pressure.
