I just thought that it was fun to see what happened with the readings since I started at the top of the hill. If I had some regular driving before heading down it never would have been that high.
So, hybrids get more then 99 MPG when driving? Only when coasting I would think, which of course is not 99 or 9999 but infinity MPG (except for engine idle which the scan gauge doesn't seem to take into account). 2 digits, MAYBE 3, but definitely not 4
I still have to get a scanguage myself

On a side note how much hotter does your intake temps run than ambient? I was thinking I just changed my scangage to show LOD and ambient, and noticed that my intake temps were about 10-15 f hotter than the toyota ambient (which is 5+f hotter than a house gauge).

basically i think i will put the plastic piece and the flex tube back on and pipe to the fender to see in cold air helps out my MPG a little. no reason in the rummer ot run 20+ deg above ambient. this also may have something to do with my having an upper grill block off.

also here is the reference explained. humor not wasted on this one.

note the fact they got Oprah on air with this one is what makes it really stand out.
Haven't even checked to see. I'll have to look at it. I also have an upper grill block that I play with from time to time too.

Many people with a Plig-In Prius (PIP) get well over 100 MPG as an average per tank so you need 3 for sure. The only time I could see 4 being used is when it was fun to see what happened to me. Sure it reading 99 or 999 would be cool but then I would always wonder how much higher did it go? Well I do now.

My Prius does just fine when in the PWR mode with both the gas engine & electric motors accelerating the car. It's not a lot different then most other economy cars with the hammer down. In fact it holds its speed going up hills better then other economy cars I've driven, it holds with the CC on at 75 mph even on the steepest grades from WA to CA on I-5. It shocked me to say the least as we were blowing by everyone on the steep grades last year.

In the metric setting it would display 0.0L/100km which translates to no fuel being consumed. More accurate than trying to quote a moving seemingly infinite miles travelled per gallon.

Interesting. We had to wrap up both cars, the civic in particular (yellowline shifting every gear on the onramp got me up to 55MPH to merge with people going 75).

My main Prius experience was on twisty steep logging back roads (paved though) where i learned prii don't like those roads well.

Don't forget, I don't make the Scangauge2 I just own one. You could always ask the manufacturer.

What gen Prius was it? My 3rd gen handles great too after a few suspension mods. She loves the twisty back roads now after adding Eibach springs, TRD RSB, Tanabe FSB & chassis brace.

Not at all, but on a long trip I just set the CC & don't worry about MPG as much knowing that I will get 45+ MPG even in the worst conditions & doing 75 mph with the A/C on too.
