hey guys i joined the club and bought a 09 corolla S!
but im having problems with the dealer...i bought the one without moonroof so they needed 6-7 business days to locate the car, well 7 business days went and past, no car, called them up on tuesday, they told me i would have it by wednesday worst case scenario (today), now today past, and still no car
I'm playing the waiting game too. It's a long story, but I got a good lead on the car I wanted already scheduled to ship to a dealer. The target range for it to be on the ground is tomorrow. It's a done deal, I just have to wait it out. The dealer is saying the snowstorm through the midwest last weekend may slow it down by a day or so, but he's also saying they usually hit on the last day of the date range they are given. It's killin' me.
nope it's actually my second one, my first ever car was a 99 corolla, got it back in 04, it was the corolla VE so manual doors/windows lol unfortunately i wrecked it in dec of same year....then i bought a 94 camry, so this is my second corolla but first brand new car, so excited!
It's gonna be my first Corolla, ever...It never did appeal to me but the biggest mistake was test-driving the new 'rolla. I almost didn't want to get out...
It's definitely exciting to have a new car. Hope yours will come soon.
i mad the mistake of test driving it too lol i went in looking for another camry, saw the rolla thought it looked good so i test drove it and ended up buying one lol it's got a pretty nice kick to it when i step on the gas
I can't believe you guys could actually WAIT for you car! I could never wait for my gadget when it's right in front of me already. I almost took an LE just because it was the only one available at the time that I could afford or am willing to pay for... but while waiting for the papers of that car to arrive, I decided to look around the showroom... and sure enough, I saw the price of the S in the showroom and I can afford it!!! All because it was stick and no sunroof! Wooohooo! I took the stick then, rather than the auto LE... with gray interior (eeewww!)!!!

It's hard. I've got a buddy that's going nuts because I haven't just driven one off the lot yet.
The thing with me is that a car is a long-term commitment. We are the original owners of our '93 Camry. In car years, that's forever. We've learned that if we get what we want up front, we'll be happy with the car for as long as it lasts. Our Camry is still a great car, but it's not what I wanted. It started out as my wife's car. It's finally my turn to get what I want. I've waited through 9 years of driving "her" car. I can wait another week or two.
But that doesn't mean I'm not obsessing over it. I just checked the dealer's inventory and it shows my car is in, but no call from the dealer to confirm that yet. I suspect the inventory updates automatically with what's scheduled to arrive whether it actually hits or not. :ahhhh:
my car is still being shipped from Toyota itself.....then it's got to go to another dealer before my dealer can swap it, it's gonna be a while...their estimated date? "any day"

I am totally with you--last time, I could have driven a 99 (Sewage Green Pearl ) off the lot, and had to wait about a month to get my colour, but hey, I haven't regretted it a bit...
Good luck with the waiting, let us know how it works out for you! (geez, you guys are making me scared to go do a test drive now--I can't really afford to change wheels right now but I am soooo tempted... 6 more months!!! [is how long I think I can restrain myself])

i would suggest you lock yourself in your house cause the moment you see one of these on the road that 6 month is gonna get thrown right out the window lol im starting to see them on the road and im getting so worked up over mines
I am starting to see some Corolla's popping up on the road here in San Francisco... makes me want to change my rims more and more just so I would look different.
