John, funny that you'd mention about the option pack in getting the alloys and moonroof. In my zip code (43081) Option "C" calls for Sport package (SX), power pack, hd weather pack, floor mats, some emissions BS and the 6 disc CD player....for $2044, exactly what I want. Opt "D" has above minus sport pack, mats, but adds moonroof, VSC and traction control for $2374. Opt "E" is loaded with all the above, no mats or VSC or trac control but at a cost of $2735.
The sport pack is what I really want: the spoiler, 16" alloy wheels, power windows, remote door locks and cruise. Don't want the moonroof, unless it's crammed onto a vehicle that I see to buy. I'm sure the options I just mentioned change for the region (zip code) that you're in.
***I've posted this in a thread but no one else apparently has noticed this*** The Option packages will change overnight sometimes and then be back to what they were before. I've seen them flip-flop different packages and prices from one day to the next....although they have seemed to stabilize since I posted the thread titled, "Anyone notice this?"
It drove me nuts for a few days as I was writing down prices , then they changed packages/ prices on me.
As far as the car fax thing.......fuggitaboutit! I'm going to watch all you guys and the deals you're getting, save some more money, when I'm ready, find the car on the lot and give them an offer and walk away. I am not getting into the " 4 square game" or the "back and forth" thing, I don't really need the car as I'm driving my wife's beater 94 Civic. I'm still lookin at the Mazda 3 Sport i too. Usually buying a car can be a pain in the ass....I'm going to have fun buying this one.
