Depends how well it's on there. When I took mine off I just grabbed it and it pulled off pretty easily. It was only on there for about 2 days though.
Might need a heat gun and a plastic scraper. Will want to polish it afterwards as well. May need some adhesive remover as well if there is much left on the paint after removal.
Well I don't even have my car yet, so I was going to call and tell them not to... but I figured I would just take it off myself... I'm picking it up tomorrow.
Wow... you mean it's actually possible to remove the TOYOTA EMBLEM at the back of the Corolla? Won't that hurt the paint? And what does it look like without the emblem and the 'Corolla'? Can someone post pictures if they removed theirs?
I love my Corolla, but I hate the stupid dealership decal that sticks out like nothing else when I approach my car. Is there any way to take it off?
I debadged my Tacoma on a hot day in the sun. Might be tougher for you.
I recommend a hair dryer over a heat gun but either way if you aren't careful you will blister the paint.
I used a soft plastic putty knife to just lift not scrape the emblem up so I could peel it off. Dental floss has been suggested too.
Any left over adhesive that was left I used WD-40 to remove.
You don't have your car yet??? how do you know they're putting a sticker on it?? A lot of dealers don't use stickers, some use the license plate holders instead.
I went in to check my car out today. The PDI was done but they still had to install accessories. They already put the dealership decal on there so yah...
Just wanted to say that if you're using a heatgun to remove anything on the car, be a little careful as it can slide some paint off the plastic portions of the car like the bumper or even melt the tail light housings.
With that said, its also not a good idea to hold it on any one place for a prolonged period of time, keep it moving. I would hate to see the first "So my heatgun made a new friend" thread on here.
