I supposed I consider this the good and the bad. Seems all brands of Corolla's are selling like hotcakes.
Tried to order my new 09 Corolla XRS in Blue Streak Mica - only to be told that I have to wait until mid-June to take delivery. My build date is June 4 in Cambridge (YEA! a Wednesday car!)
*sigh*
How has everyone else managed to keep from jones'n while they wait for their new 'rolla?
I ordered a Streak Blue XRS 8 days ago. Approximate delivery is July 10th.....hmmmmmmmmmmm Interesting how that worked out. Honestly we won't know much until a vin is in place
What?? Two months of wait for the Corolla?? That means, in a few months, I will be seeing Corollas everywhere!!! I better buy those rims, fast! Or I'll end up just being 'one' of them 'Rollas over there.
I know the wait for a black XRS like mine is like 3 months now... The S and XRS models seem to be the most back logged, though I don't have specific details, since I'm not in sales.
nikolasmor, I think it might have something has to do with the number and type of vehicles allocated to each Toyota division (Canada vs US).
My spot in line for a Canadian-destined Blue XRS is mid-June. Your spot in line for a US-destined XRS is probably July. Also might have something to do with delivery which is shorter for me since I'm only 80km from the plant.
I have to say that I'm really loving my XRS...I just got back from a trip to Windsor and the car drove very well on the highway. I'm very happy with the engine's quietness and smoothness...The 2.4L engine does make a difference...

2 months is nothing. Scion tCs had a 4 - 8 month waiting period when they first came out. By the time they get off the transport truck, they have already been sold or by the time the sun sets, it'll be on someone's driveway.
And yes... now tCs are everywhere. I might actually get a new Corolla XRS if I can get one for under $20,000 when I have kids, which will probably be in about 2 - 4 years.
