keyless entry for trunk release

hey everyone, just wanted to get your opinion on this. when i press my trunk release from my key, it opens but barely pops up. my friend's camry pops up halfway. just wanted to know what its supposed to do and what your cars do.
thanks,

does your car have a spoiler? on a video i saw them open a trunk of an xle and the trunk popped up half way or more...it could be that the spoiler's added weight makes it pop up only slightly.

no spoiler. this blows. how about we all send in a complaint to toyota. i think it should go up half way.

they switched out the hydraulic lift from older generations for spring rods. but now theres no lift on most cars. however, some cars the tension in those rods is enough to make it go up halfway or even send it flying open.

I was hoping to get them to fix the tension on all cars to make it at least semi -open. 1/3 of the way is good, half way better, all the way open bad, but totally cool. think about if you have your hands full and you press that trunk release on your key, you dont want to have to put down all that stuff you are holding because the trunk didnt pop up at all.

The Corolla never had hydraulic lift... what you talkin' bout? LOL.

(EDIT: Save for hatchbacks/wagons)

My 09 XRS just pops open enough to be unlatched and to be honest I prefer it that way

Same with me. I don't need the car acting like it's happy to see me.
