Fabric Protector

Recently purchased 2009 XLE

I'm worried about the fabric getting dirty.

Any good protectants I should use? (ie scotchguard etc...)

Thanks.

I sprayed the whole interior with scotchguard. Saved my seats and carpet all ready, daughters lid on her sippy cup came off and apple juice went everywhere. Nothing soaked in and was easily wiped up.

Just 'normal' scotchguard or is there a special car one.

Also - did you just spray it all over just like on a piece of furniture?

Bought the scotchgaurd for cars, in the auto dept at walmart. Was the same price as the regular one. sprayed it everywhere in the car, but tried to keep it off of any plastic. Where it did get on the plastic it wiped right off.

You don't spay so much down that it soaks to the foam. All you want thin layer on top of the fabric so that spills will be suspended and easier to wipe off.

I use to work in the furniture industry so I went with a furniture grade protectant which does not harm the foam or anything no matter how much you put on. A company or someone who specializes in automotive detail work will steer you clear of scotchguard.
