Corolla S supply in Toronto

Brought a Corolla S automatic this weekend in Metallic Grey!! It'll be my first car ever and I am very excited. Unfortunately the dealer I brought from (in Scarborough)has told me I won't see the car until the last week of July, first week of August.

Anyone know what's up?

I didn't ask around at other dealerships beforehand because I am getting a 'family/friends' discount but now I'm thinking I would rather be driving my car versus saving the $$$..

The cost of gas at/above $4.00+/gal has/is putting all good cars that get 30+ mpg in high demand. I'm sure Toyota has their assembly plant running at maximun capacity also. Your wait for it will be worth it.

theres a shortage everywhere in the gta, i bought mine in may, not gunna get it til end of june :/

i am from a dealership in BC the problem is. is that the U.S gets first dibs on EVERY car even though they get built in ontario they alwasy fill US orders before canadian so there is a shortage of these cars ALL across canada. here in BC we are having to put people on a 3 to 4 month waiting list for these cars

when is your build date for your car?

I was told my build date is June 17. Anyone have any idea how long it would take until i actually get it? I live in Toronto.

if it was coming to BC its usually 2 weeks after the build date

I got mine (in Hamilton) about a week after the build date. This was in April.

Build date? Would I find that info on my invoice?

I was told the last week of July would be the earliest I'd see the car.

My build date in Cambridge was June 4. It arrived at the dealer in Toronto June 11. Will be picking it up next week once.

Corolla is hot in Canada right now. TMMC can't keep up with demand - although they seem to be shortening the waiting period. It "was" 2 months back in May. Now seems to be just over a month.

The wait iwill be worth it folks!

Build date : June 6th
Delivery : Around 1st week of July.

I ordered my wifes XRS o April 17th, it arrived at the dealer on June 7th

I had to buy a new car because someone totaled my car... was able to find a car in stock from someone who canceled a deal on a white corolla S..... i wanted a moon roof but i needed a car ASAP so i guess it will do.... bought it on Friday. I pick it up Tuesday.

ok, so apparantly my car is built. I was just given a VIN number. How much longer???
