Corolla LE stiff ride

After only 900 or so miles I'm still puzzled by why the ride of my 2009 Corolla LE is so stiff. I can feel every bump on the road. Has this been anyone else's experience? I read everywhere that the Corolla has a smooth ride. Am I missing something here? Does anyone have any ideas? The tire pressure is 30 psi all round. Can the shocks be adjusted or something? I like the car otherwise, but find it hard to believe the ride should be so stiff

Ok

Time for me to vent again. Check those tires. Do you have the Firestone Affinitys on there? Hate those tires!!!!

I feel ya.. As soon as I save a couple more dollers, I am putting a set of Michllins, or Yokahamas on there. Discount tire said they woud give me 50 a tire on trade.

I tried adjusting pressure to around 27 but gas milage went down. So, back to 30 to 32.

THe bridgestone/Firestone tires have a very stiff ride...hard compound used to make the tire. Not a fan of the tires at all......

Is anyone familiar with these? I had them added to an old car I had and it made the car drive like a dream? Should I ask the dealer to replace the shocks on my 2009 Corolla LE with these? Should I expect it do be done under the terms of my new-car warranty?

Go to your dealer and test drive a similar Corolla to see if they ride the same. If they dont then you may have a case. What tires do you have on the car?

I have Goodyear tires... Eagle I think. This struck me as rather "high performance" [and noisy] for a car such as a Corolla. Seems to me 'touring' tires would be more appropriate at this level. Do you have an LE model? Seems like everyone on the forum has a Corolla S. How's your ride?? Anyone else have a comment on the ride quality of the Corolla LE ?

I have an 'S' with Eagle RSA's and find them extremely noisy on the highway. I complained to my dealer and they are going to exchange them thru Toyota for the GY Assurance Comfortreds that sould be less noisy. I had to pay $140 for the upgrade which was the cost of one tire. I will get them in 3 - 4 days and will then hope for the best.
