Dumb Question

This is for whoever is running the site. Im just curious, why is there ads for other car companys on the web site? Just seems odd that I scroll down the page and see an advertisement for another car company on a Toyota Forum.

Let me take a stab at it.
reason#1...its paid advertising, people pay to advertize regardless of how much revenue it generates especially on net as it is so easy to do. This site isn't owned by Toyota so it really doesn't affect them.

reason#2... if it bothers you and you upgrade your membership you can get rid of it. That generates revenue for the site to continue its services.

And yeah, it's all about money.. otherwise people would have to pay to access the site, someone has to pay to keep the site on a server right?
