Where was your Corolla assembled?

Where was your new Corolla assembled, and have you had any issues with it?

Just curious to see how many of each are out there, and whether the place of assembly makes any difference in quality. I've noticed it's possible to shop online and pretty much get one from any of the 3 assembly locations.

For those who don't know, the first number/letter in your VIN determines country of origin

1 and 4 are the US
2 is Canada
J is Japan

Can't wait to get one of these! Hope they get some incentives on them later in the year as dealers around here don't want to budge

EDIT: If you voted you have a problem, please post what it is if you would like.

Good survey!

BTW - what kind of incentives are you expecting? Theyre moving like hot cakes, so aside from a a few hundred bucks off what would warrant a much longer wait? Good luck with your search.

I just want them to give me one for around invoice. I have to feel like I'm getting a good deal and a fair price before I'll bite. It doesn't cost them anything to order one up, having me come in and drive away 45 minutes later. Easiest couple hundred bucks they could make, but they don't seem to like using online quotes either, they want me to come in. I plan to go in one of these days. Was planning to get a Japan made model pending results of this thread.

Keep the votes coming!

that can't be right...any VIN that starts with a J is made in Japan. Maybe you may have your info mixed up with the "port/plant" destination.

It's mostly likely that your Corolas could have came from three different ports: Long Beach, Portland, or Benecia/Fremont. Long Beach & Benecia/Fremont are in California, while Portland is in Oregon. You guys probably got confused.

Fuel Pump Problems

My 09 Corolla LE was made in USA (1 is the first number in VIN) and had to replace the Fuel Pump at 100 miles because of a long crank starting. After that I had to go again to the dealer because of Check Engine Light, but I think this was because a mechanic bad work when installing the fuel pump. Now at 1200 miles the car is starting and runing OK. Now I've got 39 M/G in Highway with ths rolla
