Scion TC + 09 rolla?

Hey so yea I want to get rid of my steelies off of my LE 09 rolla and replace them with some clean wheels... so I am looking into this offer where this guy is selling some Scion TC stock wheels.

According to what I know, the TC wheels are 5x100 lugs with 45 offset 215/45-17 tires...
and the big question is... will it fit???????

They are the same size wheels and the same size tires as come on the XRS, so you're good there.

The only difference is the offset, which will mean the wheels will sit about 7mm further in than the XRS wheels would.

I don't think it will cause any issues. They should fit fine.

What exactly would be the ideal offset? +38?

The TC wheels/tires should fit. I wouldn't recommend spacers. Just buy wheels with a proper offset to begin with. Toyota recommends +35 (pushes wheels out) to +45 (pulls wheels in). Factory offset for 17" 09 XRS wheels is +42, so +45 TC wheels are only 3mm farther inward, barely noticeable. I just looked at my 09's wheel/tire clearance, with 16x7 +40 aftermarket wheels and 205/55-16 tires. I have tons of clearance in back and plenty in front. My only concern with the TC wheels would be clearance of the upper front tires from the front strut towers when the steering wheel is turned all the way in either direction. A 215 tire might rub slightly on the tower with a +45 offset, especially if the suspension is lowered at all. Another thing to think about is the look you want. +45 will tuck the wheels/tires pretty far underneath. But I like that look, versus pushing the wheels/tires outwards at risk of making the car look like a 4x4. Good luck.

He has 17" +45 Sport Tuning Glide wheels from Tire Rack with 215/45-17 tires. Looks very nice to me.

Stock XRS wheels are 17x7.0" +38mm offset, not sure where you got +42 from.

Either way, they should fit fine. My winter wheels are 17x7.0" +45mm offset.
