I was looking over the manual and came across this section (pg443) and inquired at the dealer how this can be done. They said they would have to hook up their machine to the car to be able to perform these functions and that it could be done for fee if I made an appointment. Is there any other way this can be done?

looks like the corolla really needs to be hooked up to some kind of computer or something in order to change those settings described on page 443 of the owners manual.
