2009 Canadian Corolla Ce up in price

Just on the Toyo Canada site and a 09 Ce with enhanced and auto has jumped from $18295 to $18565 plus freight and taxes. Thought they may wait till 2010 model to do this. Can't blame them though with the way they're selling.

They upped the price on all trim levels. The LE is no longer under $20k.

Hummm...but most every other model came down. Guess those of us who got on the band-wagon early got a nice little boost in residuals.

The Canadian dollar went down from 1.10 to 0.95 and that must be why....

If that's the reason How come Canadian dollars went up from .65 cents to $1.10 and the price difference between Canada and US cars prices without any charges are $6 to $8000. difference? Some make and models even more.

Last year the price of Toyotas came down a lot ( over 1000 dollars ) and the salesman told me it was becasue the Canadian dollar was higher than the American dollar. Now it's below the American dollar, so logically the price of the car should go up, unless they don't mind making less money.

"Slightly screwed" is a big understatement. Especially when the cars are made in Canada.

I priced a Honda Civic in Canada and Washington state. Difference was huge. When I asked Honda's sales manager in Canada why? He said Hondas are selling as fast as they can produce them so no need for price lowering.
I'd say it's gouging.
