It is very easy to get to. there is a notch at the bottom of the door panel big enough to put your fingers in. Pull out and start working your way up and around the panel until it comes off. Once the door panel is off you can easily remove the cover for the tweeter. it just pulls off.

When I replaced my front door speakers I was going to replace the tweeter. It is not like a regular speaker with two wires coming out of it. It actually has a plug (integrated in the tweeter) with many wires going to it? I thought that there would be only two. I gave up, but mine were not broken.

Also, you cannot just unplug them. all of the six speakers are connected somehow. if you disconnect one, none of them will work.

Oh yeah, I have the S 1.8L with the six speaker/six CD changer. it is not the JBL upgrade system.

I knew all of that already. My problem is that i don't know if I can just cut the old ones out and install the new ones with the same wires.
