Question Corolla and Iphone

Hello everyone. I just purchased a white 2009 Corolla S last night. So far, I'm loving the car. It was a downgrade from my Acura RSX-S, but it had to be done, due to starting a family soon. But anyway, like i said, it is a great car so far.

The only thing I don't like, is when I plug my Iphone into the Ipod jack, my phone tells me that it does not work with this application. (Not exactly those words, but close enough.) I was wondering if there is anyone here that has an Iphone, and is able to connect it to their Corolla and have it work? Is there an adapter I can get, maybe for the AUX? Thanks.

I bought the iSimple from Best Buy and installed it in my 09 Corolla S. Easy install and works fine with both my iPod Mini and Classic. Not sure about the iPhone though. The company link is: http://www.isimplesolutions.com/home.asp

for using the AUX input in the 09 corolla, just buy the mini plug to mini plug at radio shack. it is like $10. plug one end to the AUX input of the car and the other end to the headphone jack in your ipod or iphone. that is all im using with my ipod and iphone here in vancouver canada. no need for those expensive gadget cables.

are your bluetooth buttons mounted on the right hand side of the steering wheel just like in the toyota corolla pictures? is the bluetooth microphone situated at the head panel near the moonroof switches?

im just curious about this corolla bluetooth installation. because one of the members here at TN had his bluetooth installed after he bought his corolla. they did a sloppy job by not putting the bluetooth controls on the right spoke of his steering wheel. and the microphone they just sticked it up on the head panel. but according to the manual if you have the head panel there is a microphone inside that is intended for bluetooth operation.

The iPhone 3G stinks as far as compatibility with "iPod ready" devices. I love the iPhone 3G, but I get that stupid "not compatible" message with everything. The first gen iPhone worked with everything. I just plug my iphone 3g into the aux jack for simplicity, and guaranteed compatibility of course.

I have the first gen iphone, and it didn't work. Maybe it was in one of the upgrades that made it stop working.
