I'm wondering if there is a way to tell how many 09 corolla xrs models have been made and where they are making them. The dealer told me they only made 9 in aug, and I'm wondering if that is true.
there is no way for you to track them unless you have all the production numbers in your hands. they can be just lying to you but unless you work for toyota theres no real way bc they dont publish this stuff.
9 in August???? I would not be surprised if they sold 9 at that dealer alone. If they made 9 a month, you would almost never see them on the road. Toyota has sold over 30 million Corollas since 1966.

i think a lot of folks who buy the corolla just get the 1.8L for the fuel economy. so far i have only seen two or three xrs but i think it could have been the same guy lol will see a white one on my way to work once in a long while. i've seen plenty of s' tho...from far away they look the same so i might have seen an xrs and not notice.
I own an XRS and when I bought one it was like pulling teeth out of Cambridge, Ontario. Other than mine I have only seen 3 other XRS's. One white one near Stoney Creek, One Black one in Brampton, and a Blue one in Georgetown.
Not a whole lot around, and my dealer has only sold 2 (last time i checked)... and 1 is mine.
On another note, I had only ever seen 2 9th Gen XRS 'Rollas, and 2 1st gen XRS Matrix's.
And I have seen a TON of XRS Matrix's, about 9 or 10. all in the GTA. (HALTON-PEEL)
When I bought my XRS in May they where hard to come by, the dealer actually had to ship mine in from another province

your dealer's an idiot for saying that. only 9 built in august. please
I am not so sure about that, although 9 may seem a little low.. when I was trying to buy one in May I sat down with the salesman and he showed me there computer program for seeing the upcoming cars to be built. There where very few XRS's in the upcoming month's, if not for the one from another province I would have been waiting six weeks for one. I would say no more then a dozen were set to be built at that time. Salesman said that the previous XRS sold so poorly that dealers where not ordering very many for there showroooms.

that's what one dealer told me too. when the 10th gen first came out i can not find one dealer with the xrs...just the regular ones and s. but after a couple months that dealer had 3 xrs there and said it's been sitting there for over 1 1/2 months. maybe the xrs still not selling that well? i guess people get the corolla for better gas mileage mostly.
Toyota never intended to make big number of the XRS from the start. When I went to the launch of the Gen 10 it was stated the mix would be more LEs and Ss then follow by CEs and XLEs. In my region the last allocation 24 were built. We are sitting on only 1 which just came and 1 more inbound. But your regions might have more or less.
