Build date

Hi guys,

I've tried searching to find out how to decode the build date for an '09 Corolla XRS, but I couldn't find anything. Are the first two digits in the code the month it was built, or the week it was built?

Thanks!

And where do we find those digits?

Maybe this will help some of you. My Corolla came off the line at Cambridge ON on 8 Sep 09. My Serial Number (last 6 digits of the VIN) is 1076XX.

Dorkinheimer, I don't think the manufacture date is encoded in the car's serial number. I believe that number is generated one up per vehicle type. There may be a plate on the door sill that provides the month and year of manufacture? -Toy-Man-

Sorry guys, my bad. The manufactures date was on the plate on the door opening. It was 07/09. I'm picking up my car soon and I'm concerned that it has 110 km on it. Just want to make sure that it was actually a July build instead of Feb. That would definitely be a deal breaker.
Thanks,
kicker
