Do you think that Toyota decision makers come and read here?
Do you guys think that Toyota reads this forum, and makes adjustements to their cars with what we have to say. After all, we are their customers, and Toyota should take into consideration what we have to say.
In my humble opinion, I really think toyota listens to the dealers and sales before making any executive decisions about the car. Perhaps they've been to this website and read (you can never know) but my faith in a car manufacturer really listening to the public (besides maybe focus groups of some kind) is probably very slim. But what do I know, they might be on this site all the time!

Toyota Corolla LE (Black Sand Pearl) Mods coming soon...
Unless we have told the dealerships that this site exists they won't know about it. They have lives just like the rest of us and they are just middlemen in the entire scope of things. They can't control the quality of the product that comes off the line. There are several people that work for Toyota the frequent this forum, unless they pass the info on to the dealership about this site, that's as far as it goes up the food chain it goes. Only lots of customer feedback directly to the dealer and if the dealer reports it does it make it up the chain.
There are so many sites dedicated to Toyota cars on a Google search its unlikely they are watching right now. Maybe if the dealership had its own site forum they would watch. I have been on forum sites where the the manufacturer paid attention, but it was for a specialized product.
I can guarantee that Toyota people visit this site. It's free feedback from current owners. I know that on the srtforums.com that the SRT/PVO/Dodge engineers visited frequently. Too bad TRD doesn't do the same. Then again comparing TRD to SRT is kind of ridiculous. LOL

No. I think Toyota "decision makers" rely heavily on their marketing teams, both internal and external. They usually have budgets to conduct indepth interviews and focus groups. With the Tundra and Yaris, they went to rather great lengths to get feedback on preproduction models.
This forums isn't exactly a good representation of Corolla owners. All we have here so far are modders and people complaining that they have a lemon.
I recieved a "2008 Customer Satisfaction Study" by Marittz Research. http://www.maritzsyndicatedresearch.com/
I thought it was sent to all.
Assumed Toyota used them to get all customers feedbacks.
For the record, Toyota or TMS as they are referred to in the USA (as opposed to TCI in Canada), will read these boards, and I think they were posting last in the Venza forums (toyotausa). But you better believe that their jobs is to read boards like these. Also, some people here are actually employees of the company (hint hint), if they decide to disclose that information.
im sure toyota's aware of the bigger forums/fansites such as this one and are aware of the opinions floating around, but as far as final decisions are concerned im sure they rely much much more on their marketing research than just reading posts on the internet, afterall, on the internet the same person can say toyota is a piece of crap today and then decide he's officially a loyal toyota fan by tmr
