I know it's unavoidable having little dings on your front bumper. But I have a nice little gash. I just got back from a 6 hour road trip and I needed to wash off all the bugs and I found this:
how would one fix this? If possible, would I be able to fix this up my self or should I just get it professional done?
This gash is really bothering me
I would take it to an autobody shop, and ask them the procedure they would use to repair it. If it doesn't require any special equipement you may be able to do it yourself and save some $$. If it does, at least you know. Then of course shop around for the best deal/quality.

If you can't fix it yourself, get in touch with Tallmadge Collision. They are right off of Tallmadge Circle. They are not the cheapest around, but they certainly are Top 3 in my opinion. Had a $3000.00 damage repair done several years back and it looked better than new once it was done.
This will not work..if you look at the gash it is deep. This product will not work...The are needs to be sanded then painted
nothing compares to a professional painter's job but the original poster can try that quixx product or he can spend hundreds of dollars. it's his/her choice.

I think I am going to take it in and get it professionally done. I am hoping that it won't cost me an arm and leg. I'll let you know how it turns out.
It looks only to be about 2 inches long. The cheapest way is to go to the dealer and get a touch up paint tube ( with the brush in it ) and fill the gash with the same paint color. Fill the gash with paint and wipe off the excess. It will not look like new, but from 20 or 30 feet away you will not even notice it. These things are a fact of life. Imagine you fix it, only to have it happen again? I once had a honda that went 5 years without a single scratch, then in the 6th. year. Bang, bang, bang. 3 dents and scratches, on separate occasions.
my 09 corolla had a deeper scratch than that on the underside of the front bumper skirt. i bought a touch up paint from toyota and quixx scratch remover. gave it a lot of time and patience and now looks so good as new. everything was just $37.

Joey,
Can you take a pic and show us what it looks like?
Senescence,
How about a before and after pic. The touch up pen seems to be the cheapest way to go, If you do not like the results, then you could go for the more expensive options.
