Yea, I agree that's a great price. The $1,000 cash from the factory really helps. It's a good clip less than I paid for my LE (which had more options) in late July. Go for it.
I paid for my Corolla S last week with Sport Package and other minor options like carpet, door sill and molding, and came to $17000. I took advantage of 0% financing, so there was no rebate for me. MSRP was 19200+ (don't remember the exact number).
not a bad deal, looks like you're buying the car through Southeast Toyota (SET aka JM Family)...blah, they tack on all this crap that most other Toyota regions don't have. i would say grind them a tad more, probably no more than $500.
Everyone is telling you that it is a good price, so go for it. Its a Toyota, you can't loose. I do not know what state your in, but if I were you I would at the last minute ask for body side moldings and 4 rims for your winter tires and tire installation and balancing ( if you need it ) anything else you get is a bonus.
