Fun Drive In to Work...

It was still dark and I was Sitting at a stop light and a car pulled up to my right. The guy wanted to zoom around me in what looked like a Mazda6... So I thought I'd make him work for it... Well it turns out he was driving a MazdaSpeed6... I did an alright job keeping up to him until we hit 80km/h... then he pulled away with ease as his Turbo Charged 2.3L roared. We then met up at the next stop light and the guy rolled the window down to say "not bad for a corolla, but you can't beat the Speed Series from Mazda, Turbocharged engines are the way to go, better luck next time though."

I must say it put a smile on my face to have my ass handed to me by a Speed6. Moral of the story is... Mazda tuned up the 2.3L into the Beast that powers the Mazdaspeed series... When is Toyota going to tune up an engine for the XRS series??? Lets not forget Chevy has the SS series, and Dodge has the SRT series (all of which are supercharged or turbocharged)

LOL ya... I'm not saying the two cars are even close. I just thought it was funny that I thought it was a regular mazda6... but then it turned out to be a Speed6 which surprised the hell out of me.

If I knew it was the Speed6 I wouldn't have even tried... All of those MazdaSpeed cars are Sleepers until you see their backend.

Ask him how it feels when he puts premium octane into his turbo 6. Watch the smile disappear.

Comparing a Rolla to a 6 is like comparing a Rolla to a Camry. No comparion especially over 80.

But nice job on the compliment from a much faster car.

Ask him how many times his car has had to go to the shop in 60 or 70 thousand miles, and then compare the two.. that turbo is eating up that ford motor at an alarming rate i think he'll find out

All current model year Chevy SS models (NOT including some HHR and Cobalts), as well as all Dodge SRT models (NOT including the Caliber SRT4) are naturally aspirated... FYI.

I use to be all into the racing, but its not really my cup of tea anymore.

I just want a car that looks sweet and can get me to point A to B efficiently.

You cant pick up the hunnies if you're going too fast, but if you go slow enough.......they can do a light jog, open up the door and hop right in.
