Found this plastic cap/connector/cover(?) on the rear floor board behind the drivers seat. Any ideas what it is, where it came from? It's about 1" tall and 1/2" wide.

It look like the plug off of the end of a rail of some kind. Did you check the passenger seat to see if it has one like it?

i dont know what that is. im sorry i tried to look it up in my 09 corolla but i cant find it right now.

I checked under both seats but couldn't see another piece/part like it or what/where it might attach. I'll look again, and thanks for the suggestion, you just about have to stand on your head to see under the seats.

Might I suggest you take the part to your service or body shop manager and have him/her take a look at it?

^^ ROFL! Yeah check with the dealer. But it doesn't look too important. Now if you found a lug nut...then I'd be concerned.

Looks like it is the cap for the side airbag connector before they connect it to the vehicle. Did you have some repair done on the car lately?

Nope, picked it up Monday a week ago and noticed it on the floor board the next day.

Probably one of the assembly line guys drop it under the seat. Very common with airbag parts and some of the electronic parts, keep the moisture and dirt out.
