Hadn't heard about that one... does anybody know specifically what's squeaking?
I've noticed that the driver seat belt buckle mount squeaks. I move it around a little and it stops. Is that what this is about? I wouldn't mind getting a fix for that.
Switch to a 30wt oil (0w30 or 5w30) and the problem goes away.
my car is still on 0w 20 and it is doing fine but they did an ECM/ECU reprogramming like 3 weeks ago when i brought the car for the 1st free oil change. although it really wasnt free because i brought with me 5 quarts of Mobil 1 0w 20 for them to put it in. which now makes me wonder. did the toyota mechanics really put my Mobil 1 into the engine? hahahaha im getting paranoid now.
Technical Service Bulletins's are not for public consumption and I understand they are confidential material - so I wouldn't expect any tech's to volunteer that info here. And they monitor usage of that system too for abuse. Also, TSB's are sometimes different from Canada and the US since our cars are different in many ways.
TSB's are not recalls or campaigns. They are simply information kits that help a technician to hone into the real cause of a customer more common complaint - rather than guess and continuously tinker around with your car and replace parts needlessly.
That said, if you have an issue with your car, get it addressed by the dealer. If there's no issue, enjoy driving your new Corolla - the AJAC Compact Car of the year.

Those "confidential" material are readily available (along with a lot more useful stuff) if you are willing to pony up the dough at http://www.techinfo.toyota.com
It's always good to be updated of the common issues involving your car. This way you can confront the dealer if they play hard ball.

so can you tell us if you found any new TSBs on the techinfo site other than the TSB for oil consumption issues?

Sorry my subscription has expired for quiet a while and I don't usually look for Corolla TSBs. Perhaps others who have the subscription will be willing to come forward.
A dealer may fix something on a TSB when it is in the shop for routine maintenance or he may not.
You problem won't be notified about a TSB
When you come in for a problem the first thing they will do is look for a TSB on it.
Any Recall will result in them sending it to the owner in the mail.
