Things have gotten MUCH better than the Most LCD panels have a particular number of "bad" pixels! Look at Goldstar for example! They began as almost "Trash" ........Almost seconds later""""" than quickly graduated to quality product (rather high at that) The opposite end of the spectrum is Apple (IMHO)!
One would be hard pressed to find a bad pixel in the good ole days on an IPOD, ...but look at them now! After all, one must compete or say BYE BYE to your sales (They are fighting back hard)!!!!!!
I have noticed that manufacturers have gotten VERY STUFFY with their return policy. You pay plenty for the manufacturer's policies, and initial QC of the item itself. (not to mention the brand its marketed under.
(dead) pixels "allowed" for in the warranty (in a certain amount of time which is also called out. before the particular item is called "defective' by the manufacturer I have seen this policy in things like IPODS etc, but not on things like we are discussing here (a good topic, if you ask me!) IPODS abd LCD;s
These little dead pixels ALWAYS seem to go bad either just before or the warranty ends.
They also have a bad "habit' of going "bad" (or "stuck") on or off, at what turns out to be EXACTLY the correct moment I have had lots of them getting 'stuck
if you are going to file a claim, My advice is to do it NOW,,, GOOD LUCK!!!
