I spend at least 3 hours a night reading my 2009 Toyota Corolla owner's manual. I also made up some flash cards so I can quiz myself during commercials. My goal is to be really condescending to people who ask questions on this forum.
It may have a side effect though, from your point of view every question found in the manual is a stupid question, and it may discourage those thin skinned from asking anything.
That said, I look forward to your scoldings.

Since you've learned the manual thoroughly, Can you tell me which page it is that says my Canadian LE's auto lighting will switch from DRL to full night driving lights by itself?
Jeff Lange have wrote about the auto lighting in this forum and I've learned.
I like this forum. The manual is OK too but not everything is covered and confirming it here with a question is why we're here.
I just ignore their questions (usually those involving how to do things with the interior or tires). Although my favorite ones are the ones marked URGENT as if their life is at stake in buying tires... (not really corolla specific, just car communities in general)
If someone is too lazy to read a small manual about their $15,000-20,000 invesment, thats on them. Its pretty well laid out, it takes less time just to open it up.
Althought if its something techinical that I don't want to misinterpret, I do at times cite the manual.

exactly. like, "how do i set the clock?' questions like this have to be from one who didnt even bother opening the manual. go to the index. look up clock. it references page ---. go to that page, read how to set your clock. total investment in time-40 seconds.
3 hours wasted reading your owners manual!! Thats time your never going to get back....
if i needed to set the clock i would invest 5 min with a quick flip to the index, most "important" info in there is general common sense

If you need a manual to figure out how to set the Corolla's clock, consider doing the same thing to your car as the Dell guy told you to do about your computer. Pack it up and take it back. Clearly the Corolla is too complicated to drive.
what's the point even fixing the clock when you have to punch through 8 buttons to see it, and that's IF you have adjusted the seat and steering wheel in such a way that you can actually see the display without having to leave the seat.
and anyway, I meant this thread to be sarcastic, not a testimonial. i am absolutely going to stop trying to be witty on here.
