To what extent do you doll up your car?

What I like about a brand new car is how clean and how shiny the tires are....lol
I don't know what product they put on the tires for it to shine like that, so I went to Canadian tire and bought some tire shine, made by armor all, and sprayed it on the tires and looks like brand new again.

I wax my car every 2 months, except in the winter, wash it every other week, and make sure the inside is spotless.

Also, when I lift the hood, I'll take a rag and clean the motor, which helps it look new longer.

The first thing I did to my brand new car was to spray everything in the engine bay with Jig-a-loo silicon spray. It creates an invisible film that coats everything. I do that twice a year. The engine compartment will keep looking brand new for many years

i got the full protection package so cleaning it is effortless, but it seems to gather dust easily. I wash it when it gets noticeably messy. I think you wash your car too much dorkinheimer but then u drive under different circumstances which makes it get dirty easily. also my engine bay hasn't gotten messy, it just stays clean for some reason, i think it will look like this 5 years from now. hahaha

those enkeis are sweet!!! YOu shoulda gotten 18s!

In the winter I want to wash the undercarriage, esp because of the salt, but I don't want those car washes to scratch up my paint!!

In all my previous cars, I used to maintain the engine bay really clean. Twice a year I use a paint brush and brush off everything that is greasy with paint thinner (or kerosene) to dissolve the grease. Next, brush that off with the same brush dip in water and soap. Afterward I rinse everything off with my garden hose. Once everything is dry, I use the Jig-a-loo silicon spray to protect everything

on the 2009 corolla, I notice that the computer is sitting next to the air filter housing. Next time I wash my engine, I will wrap that real good in plastic before spraying with water. The computer and the alternator are the only two components that I can think of that needs to be protected from water

Armorall tire shine sucks. It's a heavily silicone based product that is greasy, slings onto the vehicle and washes off at the first hint of moisture.
