Question Vote on my Corollas Future appearance.

Hey!

I'm in a situation . I dont know wether to get 18" wheels or 17" wheels. I asked a couple of guys around and I'm still stuck in the middle.
Help me decide which one I should go for.. I know what wheels I'm going to get and the tires. I just cant make my mind on the size.

Things to keep in mind....
1. I may/may not be able to lower the car depending on the state law.
2. I'm a commuter, travel 750 miles every week.
3. I want a nice looking ride !

Which one of these should I go for.

17" wheels Tires 225/45/17
17" wheels Tires 225/40/17
18" wheels Tires 225/40/18
18" wheels Tires 225/45/18

What tire brand would you prefer. You can vote twice.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

750 miles per week?! wtf?!!? how far is your work!?

AND

if you commute that much....wouldnt you want a cushier/comfortable ride?

18 inchers would be rough on your ass would it not?

WHY not save the money on tires and rims...and use it on a THUMPIN N THUNDERIN sound system!? You're in the car for a long time, your stock ride is already comfortable as it is, now just give your ears something to listen to

For the results that you're looking for without too much compromise I would say the 225/45/17. since you're going to be using the car a fair amount, you still want ride comfort with a sporty feel, right? with rims of that size you want to go with 45s to have decent ride quality while still having a lower profiled, firm sidewalled tire. also a great combo for that rim/tire setup is a set of eibachs. Prokit is not as aggressive (low) of a drop and ride quality is almost exactly stock (I have these in my car) while giving you a sporty feel when you want it. now as far as the other setups, I wouldnt go with 40s for the tires because they are a rough ride. I had 17s with 225/40 on the front of my mr2 and they were rediculously harsh compared 45s. 18s in a realistic world would not give you what YOU are looking for. they may work for other people and thats great, but for the goals you specified, I would vote against it. first off, bigger rim means bigger tire overall which means either go with 45/18s and have decent ride quality but not lower it too much; or 40/18 which look great but you pretty much have to lower it to make it look right, and ride quality will definately suffer. keep in mind for some people they may say that they have one of these setups and they work for them great! well thats great and all, but you drive a freaking buttload! so the slightest difference in ride quality will effect the overall feel to the car...and your butt
