XRS or S

I own a 2009 XRS I like the car a lot the 2.4VVT is so nice and smooth. If your unsure about buying the S or XRS def go with the bigger motor. I test drove both and really considered getting the S But I am so happy i didn't. no offense 1.8ers I just love the torque and with the 5-speed manual its a blast to drive!

Meh, its personal preference.

With the 2.4 you get less mpg and a higher cost.

I much prefer the ZRX over the XRS........and just about any other car, for that matter.

In my opinion the S just seems like it's pretending to be fast with the body kit but it has none of the goods. I would only buy the S if I were just interested in looks.

Oh when I said fast I meant in relation to other Corollas. Not to other cars. Haha! A fast Corolla.

My guess is the S is the slowest of the auto 1.8s, since it is the heaviest.

and the heaviest of the manual transmissions.

so, for getting the "sport" model, you get the slowest 1.8 model corolla.

now i know why the the auto xrs i test drove didnt feel dramatically faster than the base model manual transmission. its not much hp for a car weighing in right at 3000 lbs.
