can you disable that beep beep sound when you use the remote to lock/unlock doors?

I am low profile guy and want to disable that beep beep sound when you lock or unlock the vehicle with the remote. Do you know if it can be disable?

On my previous Nissan Altima, you can toggle this feature by pressing the lock+unlock simultaneously. I tried that on the Corolla, it does not work.

Let me know if you have a way

Check out the customizable features in your owners manual. There is an option for those types of things. I believe it will require the dealer to dial in with an electronic tool. Most likely cost you.

At least its not a horn beep...

If you can't disable it, just know that it could be much worse. A slight beep noise is much subtler than a horn or that high pitched chirping noise some cars make when you unlock them. Irritate the hell out of me.

I have an idea: I am going to find out where that beep beep come from and unplug the connector to that speaker. Hopefully it's not the car radio speakers LOL!

dude i love that beep beep sound that toyota/lexus uses. it's like the g35 exhaust sound of the car beeps lol but ya that is a nice sound compared to the regular horn honks. my vibe has no sound and i'm thinking of buying a kit from kptechnologies that can give me that soft beep sound.

I don't know about disabling the beep entirely but I have read that you can change the way the doors unlock so that ALL the doors unlock on the first beep beep instead of pressing twice and beep beep beep beep.

how do you customize the way the doors unlock? it will be nice to have all doors unlock on a single push of the button instead of twice

IIRC Joeylgracia (where is he?) posted a link from the Scion webpage on how to change the way the doors lock and unlock.
I know it's here somewhere. Do a search here or at the Scion site.

The link shows how to enable or disable the automatic door lock when the vehicle is in motion.

It does not show how to customize all doors unlock on a single push of the remote

I tried other instructions in the links for other models. They work for programming a new remote but don't work on the 2009 Corolla to customize the single button push

I am still looking ...so let me know if you find out

You have to take it to a dealer to change the buzzer operation with their scan tool.
