MB QUART PVI269 6X9" COMPONENT SYSTEMS VS Stock 20W 6x9"

I was really considering buying the MB QUART PVI269 6X9" COMPONENT SYSTEMS for my rear deck. I have the Navigation unit in my Corolla you think these speakers will make a huge impact? I mean i think the stock speakers sounds great already so I'm wondering if these will make a huge difference. they can be found on ebay for about $150 dollars and i think i would wimp out and just have them installed at Professional Car audio place you think $100 would be a reasonable install price? well tell me what you guys think i mean i know there will be a difference but you think it will be night and day? these speaks are clearly more power then the factory head unit will power out and i have no plans to take out the navigation i just paid 1,300 for tell me what you think?

"Huge" is a relative and subjective term. I feel confident in stating that the difference will be significant and clearly noticeable.

I took my front doors out, and replace them with a high tre sound speaker, I added about 200wats or more on top of the stock, I seen abit of a differents in clear bass and tre, BUT NOTHING great, I am thinking about getting some 6x9's for the back one day down the road maybe boxing day sale, and put them in, But nothing much will change there,

UNTIL I get a custom deck installed, for now I am using the stock deck and I am prettysure the output for this deck isn't anything crazy... maybe a good 40x 4 watt or something

Ok I was on Crutchifields website and I was thinking of buying the JL Audio TR690-CXi 6"x9" they are a 3 way speaker which i have herd are not as good as the 6x9's with seperate tweeters but i was thinking about how i would mount that tweeter right were it says SRS side air bag and maybe there is not enough room to put a tweeter on that post or possible vibration problems what do you guys think?

You need great speakers to turn the audio signals from your car stereo into music. The Evolution™ TR series speakers take advantage of JL Audio's extensive research and obsessive testing to deliver excellent performance at prices any audio enthusiast can afford. Evolution™ TR speakers come in a wide range of sizes so you can improve the sound in almost any vehicle.
JL Audio's TR690-CXi 6"x9" speakers use mica-filled long-excursion polypropylene woofers for enhanced low-frequency response that'll really fill out your drums and bass. The 2" Mylar midrange drivers handle the vocal range, while 1/2" woven textile dome tweeters broadcast all the little details that bring your music to life. Ferrofluid cooled tweeters and butyl rubber surrounds mean that these speakers will bring you great music for many years to come.
Details:
  • 3-way 6"x9" speakers (pair)
  • injection-molded mica-filled polypropylene woofer
  • polyether foam surround
  • 2" Mylar cone midrange driver, 1/2" textile dome tweeter
  • 4-ohm impedance
  • 2-60 watts RMS power range
  • frequency response: 53-22,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 90.5 dB
  • depth: 3-1/8"
  • warranty: 1 year

JL Audio makes great car stereo products. Known for sometime by their strength in subs and amps to power them, their relatively recent foray into primary car speakers looks and sounds very promising. If I were purchasing sound unheard, I would still choose MB Quart. Otherwise, you should audition and choose for yourself. If your vehicle can not accommodate separate speaker components, you have answered your own question about what configuration will work.

The installation price of 100 for only two speakers sounds steep. I went to a Privately owned Stereo Shop thats been around for years, and they only deal with High end, and paid 110 for all 4 speakers replaced. I bought them at the flea market all Infinity Reference Series, it made a little difference but not too much. However the stock speakers dont even weigh enough to be a paper weight so anything will be an improvement.

Well Infinity has never made what I consider great car speakers. Typically they have a relatively smooth or soft high end, an excellent mid-range but lack bass punch. Not a good speaker for jazz, rock and r&b. OK for country and some classical though.
